The Tube's Golden Idols and the things we did(in no particular order)
Farah FawcettSource of many many tissue wastage in the early 80s
Lee Major - Steve Austiin aka Six Million Dollar Man Yeah this is the awesomest hero of my childhood. Back then, every play-fights were in slow motion accompanied with 'strength' sound effect - dindindindingdingdingdingding
Bill Bixby (David Banner) & Lou Ferrigno (Hulk)Don't tell me you never squirt copious amount of Green poster color and smear all over your body (and face when your parents not around)
Eric Estrada as Ponch Poncherello in CHIPSI had the complete set (minus the motorbike ofcourse)!! Bought at pasar malam (night market)
Greg Evigan - B.J. and the BearWho wouldn't want a pet chimp after this tv series?!! atleast i got a pet monkey after pestering my dad for so long (chimps are not exportable in those time...or so my dad told me)
Andre the Giant - Bigfoot (Bayabaa!)I think it was Andre. Can't find any info on that 70s TV series showing the other side of Bigfoot - a peace loving nice person but hell breaks loose when he yells BAAYAABAAAA! once the whole school yells this warcry while jumping a small hill or slopes.
Patrick Duffy - Mark Harris aka Man From AtlantisWebbed hands & feet (LOOK AT THE PIC!!). Swim as fast as a dolphin and a cool underwater lab of some kind and ofcourse the submarine too. Atleast one of my swimming friend can do the dolphin-swim perfectly! (i can't swim)
Simon MacCorkindale - Jonathan Chase aka ManimalOne of the best shapeshifter known in the 80s. I can still remember when he grew whiskers becoming a Puma. awesome fx that was hard to replicate (i tried taping a clipped fishing line on my cheek....didn't work)
Chuck Wagner - AutomanOh yes! the coolest ever sci-fi tv series. Beside Automan's cool glowy suit, his coolest gadget/buddy was the ever floating Cursor that can transform into an equally glowy car.
OK I'm exhausted now. of searching and re-enacting these fond memories :)
If you got anymore, please share!
